CAD-INSTAL IX-CHART 2026 v1.8.170
IX-CHART is an engineering tool for calculating moist air properties and analyzing processes that occur in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
The main purpose of the software is to help engineers determine how air temperature, humidity, and energy characteristics change during heating, cooling, mixing, humidification, and dehumidification processes.

Main Features
Psychrometric Chart
Displays the relationships between dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperature, relative humidity, humidity ratio, enthalpy, and dew point. It allows engineers to analyze air conditions based on specified parameters.
Airflow Mixing
Calculates the condition of a mixture of outdoor and recirculated air, taking into account their flow rates and initial parameters. For example, it can determine the temperature and humidity of air after a mixing chamber.
Heating, Cooling, and Air Treatment
Analyzes changes in air properties as it passes through heaters, coolers, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers. This makes it possible to determine the required heating or cooling capacity for a given airflow rate.
Dehumidification and Condensation
Calculates changes in humidity ratio when air is cooled below its dew point. This is useful for analyzing cooling coil operation and estimating the amount of condensate produced.
The software should not automatically be considered a complete ventilation system design solution. Psychrometric calculations and the design of an entire ventilation system are different levels of engineering tasks. For complete system design, additional calculations may be required, including ductwork aerodynamic analysis, fan and filter selection, room heat-loss and heat-gain calculations, heat exchanger and chiller selection, and control system and operating mode calculations.
