This new Specification is a comprehensive updating of the original Specifications for Design of Highway Substructure (JTG D30—2004) (hereinafter referred to as
‘the original Specifications’). After approval, it will be promulgated and implemented with the Specifications for Design of Highway Substructure (JTG D30—2015) (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Specifications’). The guiding ideology and principles of the updating of the Specification summarized the experience and scientific and technological achievements of highway construction projects in China for many years and drawing on the advanced technical methods of relevant standards and norms at home and abroad.
