Structural detailing of 5 storey Hotel building Full course
"Detail Like a Pro: From Blueprints to Reality"
What you'll learn
Step-by-step detailing of foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and shear walls.
How to read and interpret structural design outputs for accurate detailing.
Best practices for bar arrangement, bending, and lap lengths according to industry standards.
How to prepare site-ready title blocks and organize drawings for construction submission.
Professional tips for speed, accuracy, and efficiency in CAD reinforcement detailing.
Techniques to avoid common reinforcement detailing errors that lead to site issues.
How to use the Attribute definition command for creating attributes in your title block

Requirements
Basic CAD skills (preferably AutoCAD or similar drafting software).
A computer or laptop capable of running CAD software smoothly.
Basic knowledge of civil or structural engineering concepts (e.g., load paths, concrete behavior).
Familiarity with engineering drawings and construction terminology.
(Optional but recommended) Understanding of reinforced concrete design principles for better context.
Willingness to learn and apply reinforcement detailing standards
Description
Reinforcement detailing is the bridge between a brilliant structural design and a safe, durable building. Inaccurate or unclear detailing can cause costly errors, site delays, and even structural failures.
This course is designed to give you the skills, confidence, and precision needed to create flawless reinforcement detailing drawings that contractors can rely on without hesitation.Using a real-world 5-storey hotel building as our project example, you’ll learn how to detail every structural component — foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and shear walls — following professional standards.
You’ll master how to interpret structural design outputs, place reinforcement bars correctly, and present your work in a clear, site-ready format. Minimum and maximum bar diameter and bar spacing for each structural member during the reinforcement are seen as per the BS and ACI CODE You will also learn how to prepare a professional title block and, importantly, how to use attribute definition in CAD to add editable attributes to your title block — making your drawings more dynamic, organised, and ready for multiple project applications.
By the end of this course, you’ll not only understand reinforcement detailing from start to finish but also know how to communicate effectively with contractors, avoid common mistakes, and produce drawings that meet the highest industry standards. Whether you are a student, a fresh graduate, or a practising engineer, this course will put you a step ahead in the competitive construction industry.
