Carrier HAP 6.3 (Hourly Analysis Program)


HAP is designed for consulting engineers, design/build contractors, HVAC contractors, facility engineers and other professionals involved in the design and analysis of commercial building HVAC systems. The program is a powerful tool for designing systems and sizing system components as well as modeling annual energy performance and energy costs.





New in version 6.3:
Weather Driven Infiltration. Added features for modeling weather-driven infiltration in buildings.
A2W Heat Pump in Cascade with WSHP Loop Systems. Added features for modeling WSHP Loop systems in which the cooling tower and auxiliary boiler are replaced with air-to-water heat pumps. This system supports decarbonization for certain WSHP Loop applications.
Energy Price Data. Implemented the most recent US state average electricity and natural gas prices published by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Other Enhancements. Made other lower level enhancements involving building modeling, equipment sizing, and software installation.
