Preface
Once considered a small niche of veterinary medicine, plastic and reconstructive
surgery has expanded dramatically over the past three decades.
This third edition of my Atlas includes additional
wound management and reconstructive surgical techniques
that have evolved since the 1999 edition. I have expanded
the text to include the most current information
on the management of problematic wounds and wound care
products available to the small animal surgeon.
Information boxes are included throughout
the text to emphasize important points and to add personal
observations based on my 35 years of experience
and insight in wound management and reconstructive surgery.
