Foreword
Efforts are being devoted by researchers, scientists and engineers around the world
towards improving the durability of concrete repairs. The aim of RILEM Technical
Committee TC 193-RLS was to collect the fundamental body of knowledge in the
field of concrete overlays. As a result, this State-of-the-Art report covers the basics
for the development of design rules adapted for the achievement of durable bonded
overlaid structures, either for repair or strengthening.
