3.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter gives theoretical analysis details using finite
element modeling (FEM). The chapter first considers the relatively
simple models identified from the literature review. It
then discusses the general issues associated with finite element
analysis, such as element selection, determination of mesh size,
boundary condition, material properties, and load conditions.
