National Cooperative Highway Research Program Project
NCHRP 24-17, “LRFD Deep Foundations Design,” was initiated
to provide (1) recommended revisions to the driven pile
and
drilled shaft portions of section 10 of the AASHTO LRFD
Bridge Design Specifications
(AASHTO, 2001) and (2) a
detailed procedure for calibrating deep foundation resistance
